Does it have a faint check/windowpane pattern? If so it's most likely an orphan. If it's solid charcoal it *could* be considered an orphan in the traditional menswear sense but only for someone who, like posts here and ****. For the majority of people a solid charcoal jacket passes as a blazer. Do you have a link to the listing?

On the sizing tags of suits you sometimes see the waist mentioned as well. So a SC or blazer will just say 42R but a suit might say something like 42R/36w or something that alludes to the waist.

Yeah, there is a windowpane pattern. Sorry for the ****** pics. I have seen labels that show the pant size too but this was a custom made piece so there was no size for anything. It's did not sell for much but I was more worried about the negative. Wasn't sure if it was worth trying to fight or not.

Yeah, it's likely an orphan. But the buyer knew that it had a windowpane pattern. If the listing had pictures showing the pattern I don't see why the buyer was confused about it. Don't know man, I don't have any experience fighting cases. Most common advice here, and rightly so, is to take a return. If he opened an SNAD case without contacting you, that's an auto defect. You can try fighting it but from what I know they are hard to get rid of but you can and should try.

Edit: Also something to consider. If the fabric is smooth (or 'worsted') it is more likely to be a suit. SC fabrics, for the most part, have some surface interest to them.

If you don't know already, worsted refers to a yarn prep where all of the fibers are combed prior to spinning, so there is very little air in the final yarn. It will be and look smooth to the point of a subtle shininess or it will sort of glisten - that's because all the fibers are pointing in the same direction. if you look at enough suits it's very easy to tell. A navy blazer will most often be worsted wool as well but the fabric will usually be beefier and "stiffer".

If it's 100% wool, is thin and drapey, and sort of "shiny" then it's most likely a suit jacket. If it's a blend it's less likely to be part of a suit (although that does happen just not as often as all wool)

Also, if in doubt probably best to list as a "suit jacket", "separate" or some such where it's clear that it's orphaned.

One last thing, if it is a solid color, even charcoal, and you insist on selling it as a non-orphan I would call it a blazer and not a sport coat.

I'm in the wrong line of internet work. In one day this guy got 321 subscribers. He gets $2.50 per subscriber as well as a 300 dollar donation (and a whole lot of other donations on top of that) Just based off the numbers shown he's made $1100 today and that's not including all the donations that aren't shown in the top donator spot.

Donations for what? They subscribe for his videos or his personal training?

True story, I read this yesterday and knew I had to include the suit jacket on a seersucker (NWT without pants)I have on ebay (here), obviously I forgot

I've recently received a (very) large consignment of shoes. Approx half are C&J Handgrades the rest mainly Cheaney. They're mixed sizes with no clear size runs in any one model. I'm currently listing the smaller (under 10 UK) sizes and am trying to work out how to list the remainder - which go up to size 12.5 - in a sensible way which will attract the right buyers. Friends have suggested listing in both German and Dutch eBay sites to attract men with bigger feet (God that sounds bizarre!). Is there any other trick to attack this market segment?

Cheers

What do you guys use to ship ties? I've been using priority Mail forever as it is easier but am tired of walking sales and/or pissing customers off on $8 to ship a tie.
