When it clears, which IIRC is what eBay says to do. Waiting has never dinged my 'shipped within stated handling period' stat.

I was a day late on shipping an item paid for by echeck and the buyer opened an item not received case. Additionally, they had paid several days late, right before a weekend that had a bank holiday the following Monday.

Yay defects.

If you do not accept returns, I highly suggest you pick @SpooPoker or @Brianpore brain...the decision may have already been decided because of something you may have already said, or a certain action you may have done or not done. Also, I think it depends on the wording used in your description. I know spoo/brian use "labeled size" as the end all be all. Measurements are a "guide" and not to be taken as an absolute. This saves them the returns and is able to throw the buyer into the "buyers remorse" category. But they have a very specific and detailed approach as to how they handle these things, each and every time.

Yeah, I'm not sure, never really have cases opened against me, although I do cite that I do not accept returns. But the first rep told me to cite unresponsive buyer and the reference number to the rep who I would speak to on Friday and they would escalate it in me favor.

I find it completely unacceptable that Ebay would even allow that to be done. Item Not Received should only be clicked on if the buyer hasn't received the item within a reasonable time frame (a week, at least!).

It's pretty ridiculous. How do you react to a situation like that? It's no wonder why Amazon Marketplace is #1. At least they have consistent policy regardless of anything ill feelings towards them.

And no, I do not accept returns.

Bullshit, now ebay has found the case in the buyer's favor.

A case opened on me today:

The case details:
The buyer says the item doesn't match the description.
The buyer paid on Aug 08, 2014.
The buyer chose "other" as the problem with the item
Additional information:
"The sleeve length represented to be 33 in. They are barely 20 in"

Genius opens a case because he doesn't know how to measure shirt sleeves. This is why I prefer selling on SF.

...how long are his arms that he thinks he needs another 13 inches of sleeve?

Damned if I know. He is measuring from the shoulder seam, like you measure a suit jacket.

So I get to defend a case.

In your listing, did you specify how the shirt sleeve was measured? maybe a reference as sleeve length from middle back or something?

--

I only ask because on my listings for shirts, SCs, Suits, I always say "Sleeve Length from Shoulder Seam : XX inch"

This makes for no confusion.

- Also, the shirt in question, did it have a specific sleeve length in the sizing?

I do not, but then neither does Brooks Brothers or any other retailer of shirts that I know of. I sell 1500 to 2000 shirts every year and I have never had this come up. The shirt was a BB custom made, so it didn't have measurements on the neck label. But that doesn't matter, because I can accurately measure a shirt.

Calgon, take me away....

Dealing with a total whack-job who is considering returning a pair of Diesel jeans. Delivered to him yesterday and I've gotten 7 (seven) messages from him so far, detailing how torn he is, cannot decide whether to keep them, thinks they're counterfeit, wants to have them authenticated, or maybe keep them, they don't measure same as tagged size but fit him based on tagged size (not sure how that's possible). On top of that, he says he runs a charity to help abused kids, yet mentioned having 250 pairs of Diesel jeans in his collection. OK, so maybe he's Bill Gates or something - no reason you can't have 250 pairs of your favorite jeans and not be a good guy at the same time. But he's also fricking whacko like Jacko.

I'm basically begging him to return them for a full refund, shipping refund, and I'll pay for return shipping...and I keep getting "I'm torn on what to do" in reply.

GOOD GOD MAN MAKE A DECISION IT'S ONLY A PAIR OF JEANS, NOT BETTING YOUR LIFE SAVINGS ON RED OR BLACK AT ROULETTE.
