I am a guest, not the groom. I plan on wearing either a charcoal suit, or maybe a little lighter grey, both with very light pinstripes. Would these (http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=92585) c&j westbourne be appropriate to wear? they're more of a redish then a brown, most of my shoes are more along the lines of this color or black, no real dark brown. I haven't been to a wedding in a while, and I never really paid attention to what other people wear at weddings. Thanks

I have a wedding coming up at the end of the month and was planning to wear the same thing with charcoal. I assumed this is fine, but if this is mistake, I would like to know as well.

If you're not in the wedding party and the dress code isn't Formal, then I say go ahead. They look lovely.

I think they would probably work better with the lighter of the two suits.

I think burgundy is fine. Fwiw, the Westbourne in Chesnut Burnished doesn't really have a reddish hue irl and it's far from burgundy.

Burgundy with charcoal or light grey sounds good to me. Dark brown shoes with a grey/black suit is a no-no in my book.

I like the shoes and think the color would look terrific. I tend to often wear burgundy as an alternative to black.

I'd disagree here - dark brown can work with grey and even charcoal, though I think you're right about black suit/brown shoes - struggling to imagine that combo ever working.
