Personally I think 7.5" is absolutely minimal for dress trouser on a waist size 28-30, but I guess some have leg a lot skinnier than I do

If someone thinks a person with a size 6 shoe is going to have the same length as someone with a size 12 shoe then I question the intellect of that person.

It's hard to discuss this without photos. The narrowness of your trousers should also be in relation to your jacket, but it's hard for me to imagine any time where a 6.5" leg opening makes sense in a tailored outfit.

Mark at The Armoury has a good video regarding trouser silhouette. At the very end, he puts on a very slim pair of trousers.

you're definitely on the smaller side I would imagine. I mean I'm 5'7" and I'm 9.5D US, which is definitely on the bigger side, think the "average" for my height is probably ~8D US.

I think one of the thing with really slim trouser is you look good while "standing" perfectly, and that's about it, as soon as you move line all break and get caught in weird places.

Not sure about those exactly, but pretty sure it’s size dependent, I have definitely seen 6.5in leg opening on US 36

I know Caruso had drop 10 in the past but I don’t know if it’s simply as advertised or in actuality

I have 3 Caruso suits and a Lardini suit, size 56 (46 US). They all run slim/ narrow, but no way are they drop 9 with a 6.63 pant hem.

You are new to Yoox. Look on the label of the inside pocket of your suits, the drop is listed there in the format "56 R7" if the drop is 7. On Yoox, the only measurements you get are the listed size converted from IT to US, the "outside leg" which I guess is the outseam, and the leg opening width. The leg opening width is a proxy for Drop. A Drop 7 suit typically has a leg opening width of 7.8". A 6.63" leg opening corresponds to Drop 9 or 10 (the number gets kind of fuzzy when you go that low and in any case it's been a while since I've looked beause I don't really buy Drop 9 suits). A Drop 8 could be a 7.41" or 7.02".
