That would be an awesome trip. What time of the year would be the best in terms of weather and other events or considerations?

I'd say May/June or September. I'd personally avoid the week of Bourbon Festival as it would just mean congestion and jam-packed distillery tours. Like I said, I'd be happy to manage the logistics if we had a critical mass, say 5 or 6 of us, going.

Celebrating becomg a shareholder at work today. I know this doesn't get as good of press as the 18 but this was damn good.

Anyone snag a bottle of the E.H. Taylor Seasoned Wood yet? First impressions, beyond that calling your bourbon "seasoned wood" is really stupid?

Haven't tried Seasoned Wood yet, but was wildly underwhelmed by Cured Oak......

What do you guys look for at The Party Source? They have a large selection of bourbon, but it's all easy to find anywhere.

I disagree. I got two bottles of their Russell's Reserve pick the last time my buddy was there, and their Four Roses picks have been pretty solid in the past. Plus I like their wine and beer, and their cigars are pretty well priced compared to Ohio.

Not to mention their prices are a ton lower than Ohio prices.

Some of it looks like what you can get everywhere else, but I've never seen the Four Roses O_S_ limited editions at any of the average liquor stores in Ohio, even though the bottle shape is the same. Also, lots of beers that aren't easy to find. Not sure that I, personally, would make the trip just to hit Party Source, but it's certainly better than what I've seen in the average Ohio state liquor stores.
