I've been more into private barrels as of late....what do you think the chances would be we can grab a barrel of Four Roses amongst all the styleforum guys? We can put something funny on the label and pick it remotely or at the distillery...cost would be around $8000 for what usually amounts to 180 bottles or so....would we have enough interest?

@NewYorkIslander

I could probably get takers for about 8 - 10 bottles between my group here in Canada (and that may be conservative). I have a US address to ship to so it shouldn't be a problem for us to participate.

Please keep me updated.

I'd be in for some. Possibly up to a case depending on final price, etc.

We talking bottled at barrel proof here?

How does shipping work for that kind of thing? Just mail 'em out and hope the Post Office doesn't notice it's booze?

Well 8000/180 = approximately $45 bottle. That's well below the new cost of the SB Barrel Proofs that you can buy retail, which now hovers around $69.99
