Nice shade. Is horse rump different (another part) from shell cordovan?
Not 100% sure but think it's horsebutt rather than shell cordovan. Also,Truman does not say which tannery their horsebutt / horserump comes from.

Elegant indeed, pretty different from the usual, rather chunky Austro-Ungarian Dinkelacker lasts.

Not a fan of natural sole edges with black uppers, I would consider dying them.
Hello DorianGreen,

the more modern lasts of Heinrich-Dinkelacker for men with narrow- to medium-width feet are the following:

- Italien-inspired "Milano" last with an almond toe and narrow-to-medium width (width F/G (German) D/E (USA) / D/E (UK)
- comparable to the sleek 360 last of Crockett & Jones

- English-inspired "Luzern" last with a classic round to in medium width (width G (German) / E (USA) / E (UK))
- comparable to the 379/341 lasts of Crockett & Jones

- soft "Budapester" last "Zürich" with a classic round to in medium width (width G (German) / E (USA) / E (UK))

I post photos of the three medium-width lasts side-by-side.

All other lasts, starting with the "Genf" are rounder lasts for wider feet, up to the "Janosh K" for very broad feet in the width K (German) / EEEE (USA) / 4E (UK).

Best regards

Pascal

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
