i have two pairs by Norman Vilalta, they made me appreciate gumlite soles. Very recommended.Norman Vilalta is a must for any shoe enthusiast, IMHO.
I missed the chance last time I visited Barcelona, but I'll be back soon.

For fun and for your info, why from now on pictures of my beloved Rannoch will show the sturdy Scotsman with a slightly darker skin:
Today a new pair arrived. I had bought the Rannoch slightly too big and now it is a perfect fit in UK 7.5. This new pair features the lovely red hue just the same, but the leather is a bit darker overall. It is not easy to show, but in the flesh both are a touch darker. The UK 8 pair I had seldom worn and then not much outdoors, it was stored in the shade and I hadn't applied any product for shoe care, so this is pretty much the difference out of the box.

Where did you buy the Rannoch from and were you hit with import tax (since I think you live in Germany?)
Also, what size do you wear in other (Cheaney lasts)? I wear UK 8 in most lasts, but need to size up to 8.5 for my Pennine boots (too short in the toe area otherwise).
