I'm assuming from the 3 Es that you've got a wider foot, like me; can you compare the fit of these to an Alden Barrie-lasted boot or an AE 65-lasted boot for example? I've often thought about getting some Carminas, but I'm not sure how well they'd fit, since most European makers' lasts seem to me to run narrow.
I haven't tried them on yet. I'll post about fit when I first put them on.

Maiden voyage of my new Hoggs of Fife Rannoch veldtschoen boot (made by Joseph Cheaney) on a 2500ft hike up scrabbly rock on Mt. Tamalpais over-looking San Francisco Bay. Probably not the best idea (no blisters and they held up admirably) since they weren't broken in at all. A very cool boot that a lot of people don't know about. Veldtschoen and commando soles and full bellows tongue make them pretty bombproof...

Great thing about them is you can kick the life out all day and clean up with a pair of jeans at night.
