I actually prefer short, don't you guys have back side of the pants get caught issue, so you either go ankle short or go much higher though definitely not regular chelsea height

If we were to do a GMTO, what leather/sole would you like?

I’m looking for a new pair of black boots, I’ve only recently got into decent boots and in the last few weeks I’ve bought cheaney Trafalgar, C&J Coniston brushed out suede and a Pair of suede Church’s (which I didn’t like and sent back) so I Google top 10 manufacturers of men’s shoes in the UK and this is the result, C&J don’t even make the top 10?

Thoughts?

CJ is miles better than a lot of the brands named here...don't bother with google search too much!

I tried to do a GMTO of these Carlos Santos and it was a hard sell even at just 420$. Depends what you are looking for.

There's a few changes I would make to that list.

I'd have C&J and EG on for starters

Remove Herring as they are rebranded Cheaney and possibly another maker I believe.

I think Loake, Grenson and Barker have too much production in India to be in the top 10. Although a lot of their shoes are decent.
