Black Tie Optional Help

So, I was convinced last night to attend a black tie optional masked ball tonight, and I'm in a bit of a bind, since I now realize I'm not prepared to go to one.

I don't have a tux, there's obviously no time to rent one, and I'm not in a place where I want to buy one right now.

I have a black suit with thin charcoal pinstripes. What's my best option in terms of trying to make this work?

Do I just find any black tie and wear it with the suit? Do I try to wear a vest with the suit to try to dress it up? Is there something else I can do?

It is a dancing event, so I know the higher standards for formal wear will not be strictly adhered to, but I don't want to feel too self-conscious tonight. So, HELP!

Wear the suit with a shiny silk tie and shiny black shoes-French cuffs if you have them.

And if you look like a douche because every other guy is resplendant in a three-piece tux, who cares-no one will know who is behind the mask anyway....

But seriously, "Black Tie Optional" is diffrent than "Black Tie Required." Basically that means if you wear a formal, dark business suit you can get away with it...do not wear say tan pants and a navy blazer.

+1

I refuse to wear a DJ to an Optional event (unless I'm affiliated with the group sponsoring the event) and I have three DJ's.
