^ he kills it on breaking bad. Think "the show" but 10x better. Now of they can somehow incorporate David into the show as well...

Picked up the first 2 seasons of The Wire and watched them in less than 2 weeks. Just started the 3rd last night. ******* amazing. The only thing that bugged me in the beginning is the way cops are always written...lugs with short neck ties navigating cubicles chugging coffee and manilla folders (despite how close to the truth it may be).

"Deakens, you busy right now? Let's go get some fuckin' coffee and manilla folders"

Also loved the line in the opening scene of season 1 about why they let him in the game even though he snatched the pot every time - really sums up much of the continuing theme throughout the series so far.

BUMP!!!

now that BB has had its finale, how do view it against the wire and the sopranos?

mad men still having a season left to go, i think its hard to really put it in the conversation at this point.

This thread is kinda like asking who's your favorite child. I love these shows each for their own reasons.

IMO the sopranos should have ended in season 4. Much happier with the progression of BB.

Why season 4? I think it's my least favorite season. I really liked season 5 and it's introduction of characters like Phil Leotardo and Tony B. Some great material that was.

The Wire is still tops even with its weak season 5 (I loved the series finale though). I would place Breaking Bad second because every season and nearly every episode was strong in my book (although I was unimpressed with the finale). Mad Men and the Sopranos both reached great highs but I feel went on 1-2 seasons too long.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
