Sure sounds like 11d to me
As someone with somewhat similar shaped feet, I'd recommend at least an 11 D. When going down in size/up in width, I've had the same problem as you: The boot is too wide at the heel and instep. And I'd say there is much less wiggle with width than with length. Otherwise, the Leo last just may not work for you.
Thanks so much for this helpful advice. After trying 10.5E, 10EEE, and 9.5EEE, I've now tried 11D, 11E, and 11.5D. 11D was too tight around my toes. 11.5D was too long. Fortunately, 11E fits well!11D would have been the first thing I tried, and your experience with the others would tend to support that. "Low volume" may be what's working against you in terms of the recommendations, but I feel like you've tried the 'other sides' of the options, which point back to 11D IMHO. If it works other than having too much volume, that can be solved with pads or a thin insert.
It seems like the Leo last may be best suited for people with wide heels, high insteps, and pointy toes...Wish I could get any of the Leo last shoes to fit me. Can't seem to get it right - either too tight, heel slip, or a combination of both.
