This show must have been written by a woman. A goddam marsupialed woman. I can't see how someone non-marsupialed could have written somethingthis ******* terrible.

For christ's sake, at least Mister Ed made sense. It was a magical talking horse. I can accept that. I cannot possibly accept people in outer space still using telephones with cord attached to them.

This shut is enraging. I ******* hate this show. I want everyone responsible for it to be crucified upside down. These people should not be allowed to vote, they are too ******* stupid.

The reason for all the outdated tech in BSG is that Cylons could hack into open systems, so everything is closed and intentionally low-tech. I believe this is even explicitly stated in an episode somewhere along the line.

I don't think it matters, some people will hate on certain things for nothing. If you don't like it, make your own-that is the beauty of fiction.

Plus it's brought up in the plot a few times along the way. At one point in the 2nd season they had to network their computers together and ended up getting a Cylon virus. Loved this show right up till the last season. Then it started falling apart. At this point I have mixed feeling about the final itself, but generally lean on the side of not liking much about it.

One of the top 5 sci fi shows easily.

You are right about S3 showing the signs of the downward spiral.

I agree with this. While it might not have been able to keep the amazing intensity of S 1 & 2, S 3-5 were still better than 99% of what was on TV, or still is on TV for that matter.

Caprica died because it was too meandering and never really had a solid direction. I thought it had great potential if it had managed to find its stride. The thing is, BSG was compelling right out of the gate and didn't have to settle into itself, it was at its best at the beginning, which is why it succeeded.

When it was on TV, I always explained it as the best drama you can watch and it just happens to also be Sci-Fi.
