I'm in Sydney but it's the same story. Unfortunately a lot of these old racist term for brown people places are stuck in the past. They refuse any kind of change or innovation, then act shocked when people's tastes move on.

Now clothing is a little different, because what was in the past was often better, but I can't say I miss the food of the 50s.

Yeah they've sold up to two current staff, bothers from Nepal. None of the next generation wanted to take the mantle. So, the migrant story continues.

I recently swapped jobs and now I'm working in Carlton, I get to go to Papa Ginos once a week now.

whilst we are talking about icons closing, my early memories are having pizza and a bisleri chinotto at papa ginos back in the 80s.

cca stopped making/selling bisleri chinotto a bit over a year ago now. there are other chinottos, but they are not the same.

Haven't done a full suit but Remy has made trousers and shirts for me. Good guy and a decent quality product for the price point. He is the ex-head fitter at PJT so knows what he's talking about.
