1. A lot of tailors don't like to use cloth brought in by clients. Some do (it's call CMT, or "cut, make, tailor") but many refuse.
2. You can do this, but it will most likely be expensive and may well take a couple of attempts to nail your fit.
3. Unless you are difficult to fit, you could try somewhere like Spier & Mackay - scroll down and you'll see a few different pairs of grey flannel and brown tweed: https://www.spierandmackay.com/collection/trousers
HAHA, yes, I experienced this some 25 (actually closer to 30) years ago. Relationship is key.

Selling two menswear classic pieces in Sydney, due to gaining a few extra kilo’s in lockdown and therefore no longer fitting in them!

2 x Informale T005 Linen Drawstring Trousers size 38” (1 in Navy, 1 in Khaki) - $150 per pair

1 x Drakes lambs wool sleeveless cardigan (never worn) size U.K.46 (Aus 56) - $200

pick up North Sydney or can post anywhere Australia (at buyers expense).

Can anyone recommend a logo-free cotton polo shirt?

Ideally available in Australia, ideally $100 or less, and ideally with a classic pique body and ribbed collar, rather than some kind of shirt-collar situation.

not local, spier and mackay. i really like mine from there. kent wang also but not so cheap

I have quite a few sets of Trimly shoe trees. I am typically 9UK and
have a size 9 Trickers that takes either size 43 or 42 shoe trees ok. I’d therefore recommend a 44.

i don’t need resole or anything, just a few things to topy.
thanks.
