Suede with saphir invulner will make them bead up water. It works well. I wouldn’t go through feet of snow in suede or even regular leather

Yes, but it does require some maintenance after the weather. Many people have a hard time paying shell prices then soaking them and dealing with water spots, haziness, and whatnot. Won't hurt the shell, just something you'll have to clean up after if you want your shell to stay shinny and even colored.

1:4 white vinegar to water will eliminate stuff on shell like salt lines, water spots etc. Shell is super tough which too many people baby.

When they launched Bourbon shell it was very limited...and I was on vacation
@donkeyhoatie went with burgundy Mills-
he used his 1 allotted bourbon pair to order Bourbon Mills for me.

So yea,
Donkey Mills,
my hero,
a great shell color.

Got my Higgins back from Wyatt & Dad. They did a wonderful job recommending and putting this Raptor sole guard on. Picture is from them because it’s much better than the one I took

you can also see the small flaw on the standing boot...a little ripple near the back.

What's this raptor sole used for? Just for protection, or is this pattern known to provide good grip?

From what I understand...both. On dress shoes people use just put a plain “TOPY” as a lot of people call them. Since these are boots I wanted more grip.

they also shave down the sole so that it’s flush where it meets.

Talk about shoes! They look fantastic! I like the contrast of the darker brown on the vamp and the lighter brown on the wingtip. The short wingtip version would have me flashing my wallet. LoL....Thank for the pics!
