Please elaborate? One of my pairs of Aldens with vibram toppys ended up serving as snow boots. First experience with leather boots in snow. No exposure to road salt.

Okay. Then you may have lucked out. Generally, when my shoes get wet from snow, the salt is already on the ground and has turned that snow into a salt water mix, leading to stains.

I'd recommend using a waterproofing spray on any leather you intend to wear in snow, or at least, some sort of oil protector like Pavlov leather balm/waterproofer.

Ah gotcha. I guess they could be had with the punch cap-toe or the medallion. I assumed the punch cap was a different model.

I remember some guy ordered the fifth street in one of the last trunk shows and they accidentally deleted the medallion. I thought they looked awesome. Maybe something similar happened here?

Just saw the pics of the shaved 5th streets with the accidental medallion delete. That seriously needs to be an option or just a style of its own. They would sell a TON of those in black calf.

4 pair b or d width on 24 inches with room to spare. If you can get 20 inch deep it’s much better than 16 because you can store an extra pair in back. Can post pics if you like.
