Greetings to 2021...only picked up 2 pairs last year but have to say the Woolymoks have really grown on me and are a new fav. Will see how the shell dress Parks do into the new year.

For 2021, a wingtip or chukka is missing from my collection. CXL version of one might be quite nice?

It's interesting that your chesters, which are amazing, are storm welted and double leather(?). I don't believe I have seen them storm welted ever before. Have you figured out when they were made?

It isn't massively different but I think I prefer the chester to the mccallister. The last is better for me but I think it also works a little better for this style shoe. I also like how the wings are a little more separated on the chester.

We're getting pretty close to Trunk Show 21.1 right?

I can't wait to see what @ae_ashley and the rest of the team has planned next month.
I hope that they open up the size combinations to include every available width combination for the particular last. For example, a 511-lasted shoe should have AA, A, B, C, D, etc.

I understand that not every last has these options. I’m just saying that if they have a shoe that uses one of those lasts, every combination should be available.

Alpines doing Alpine things this morning. Clearing the slushy, icy snow off the driveway before it becomes solid ice underneath. Arctic grip sole is great on these, as is the weatherproofing, I just wish the boots were a touch wider. Hoping that as they continue to to break in and the footbed settles a bit more, the lacing gap gets a little bit better. Same last as the HM, which feels much wider overall, especially on the instep.

Jason has been with me for over five years at this point, and owns over 65 pairs of Allen Edmonds after recently downsizing. This is one of his most recent purchases...Natty Higgins with a black dainite sole conversion. Crazy that a simple sole change can change so much of a shoe's aesthetic.

Wore mine yesterday for similar reasons. I also find them a bit narrow

I got mine in eee and they're generously fitted, but not ultra roomy so they might be a tad bit fitted in smaller widths.

The only ae I'm having width troubles with is the Dundee I have which is still somehow squishing my toes on an eee last.

I bought far, far too many shoes in 2020. I hope to cut back in 2021

Photo of most of the 2020 additions to my collection below (missing TS2020.2 MDC strands, TS2020.2 MDC Leeds, suede Bradley, 2x suede Liverpools and rancourt Acadia in the group shot and probably a few others)

I might try to forego shoe purchases entirely in 2021 and focus on wearing what I have. It seems half of what I own remains unworn. Of course if we get a natty shell or CXL trunk show all bets are off

2020 was a great year for AE shoes. With new boot offerings and new boot combinations at least a half dozen boots were in order. Let’s not talk about Strandmok combinations. I actually thought I was @BFT9000 for a month or two.

Wow! That is QUITE the haul for 2020. Well done. I think I bought the same pair of Aristocrafts this year, coincidentally. As for the rest of them, hard to figure out where to start picking favorites... so many great pickups. Wear in good health, sir.

Happy New Year everyone! I’ll admit I’m struggling a bit with optimism that things will improve much in 2021 but I’m working every day to let faith overpower pessimism. Regardless I hope you all are well and I’m anxious to see what 21 holds for AE and everything else. Here are three of my favorite pairs to celebrate.
