Now, back to my original questions:
- Is the Wilbert 1951-Brown made of calfskin, Outlander, or Canela?
- Is the Wilbert 1930-Dark-Brown made of calfskin or CXL?

An easy way to check whether it's chromex is to pinch the leather or poke from inside with your finger and see if it loses color at the pressure point. Don't worry, the change is very brief, it's because chromex leather is heavily infused with oils that shift around under the surface and the pressure pushes them away. Hence the term "pull-up leather" Horween uses for chromex, Dublin and Essex, though chromex was the only pull-up leather AE has used on Wilberts. Over time, these shifts create the kind of aged patina unique to these "greasy" leathers, and why "greasy leather" shoe care products are best suited to them.

Before I even chose a sole, this is the AE suggestion. Just for me? Or are they pushing the lug sole? Try it guys.

Interesting. I would love to see a comparison in overcast sunlight of the bourbon, coffee and copper Strands. I only own the bourbon, so I've held off on the other colors.

I'll post a pic once the coffee pair I ordered today arrives.

Turns out the coffee pair I thought I owned is actually cigar. Bought it from dabondo1, listed as coffee, probably two or three months before AE officially debuted the cigar color. Never occurred to me to double check the model number, even though I thought the museum effect was suspicious at the time.

I ordered Landon in Green Shell during the trunk show. I asked for shipping to my AE store because of the risk of having a porch pirate take them. Fedex often leaves packages (including from AE) in the lobby of my building with no signature. Any way for me to track them? I figured it would take two months, but if some are already getting their orders, maybe it won't take that long.

Woah, there's a lot of Nordstrom and Rack shoes on the site, including University shoes in chili.

Thanks for this. I see the University is on 333 last. How does the 333 last compare to 65 / 201 lasts ?
I am 13E (CXL unlined Strandmok) and 13EEE in the 201/65 last.
The Dark Chili University is available in 13E as of now...would that work or will it be tight width wise ?
