I heard about the TS and the color choices and wanted to go with the HM in green shell. But the sizing. I can't take a chance on something that won't fit right. And I haven't had the opportunity to get to an AEshop to try out a pair (especially given my giant 14ish feet).

So I'll take a chance on something returnable from the AEOnline.

That JR sole though, would be choice on an HM methinks...

Holy smokes, you drive from Pasadena to Century City for work? I completely understand. I drive from Monterey Park to very close to Century City, so I feel your stress. And then on top of that adding the drive to Costa Mesa and back, that would be very stressful. Maybe one of these days we'll all meet in Century City!

Jetpack is the easiest way to get around San Andreas.

Sorry to disappoint, only 5 pair- Burgundy, Brown, Black and Bourbon shell and grain brown calf. But it’s one of my favorite shoes.

That navy HM is fantastic. I‘m flip flopping like several others re TS, but to paraphrase James Earl Jones in Field of Dreams, “They’ll pass over the money without even thinking about it. For it’s money they have, and navy shell they lack.”

Haha! That said, I do have green now and Alden's equivalent #8 boot, so I feel im just short bourbon and chili currently. ;p

Not to detract from the TS but...

I got a pair of Strandmok’s that feel bigger than others I’ve had. Anyone else deal with this? Toebox feels higher volume over my toes.

The heel holds well and they fit well through the waist. Toes feel roomy...maybe I’m just not used to it. Most of my shoes are tight on one small toe.

My Strandmoks are definitely roomier, and the high volume toe has caused a bit of creasing in the cap. I learned to size down a width; I might go down 1/2 size in the same width if 1/2 sizes were available in large sizes.

Yes, i like the color, but I went the Mass Drop route to get the green and three others. But I guess it doesn’t really count as a Dundee.

Antique Cherry will only be at the 6 event locations, and limited to 10 pairs per store. Everything else is available over the phone or any AE store.

Bourbon yes, antique cherry no (formerly known as shaved)

I gotta disagree with you there. All my MacNeils other than my burgundy shell look great with jeans IMHO. I’m not wild about the burgundy because the heavy black sole, welt and piping and darker shell does make it look a little too severe with denim—but that’s a function of color, not the double sole. My bourbon shell Macs with translucent brown sole look fab with dark slim denim. Same with my others (brown grain, snuff suede, walnut, dark chili). Other things equal, the visual weight of the double sole looks better with denim than a single sole, to me.

I never said it didn’t look good, but not in the same fashion forward way.
