Have you ever tried opting for a four in hand?
Yeah, when I first started wearing ties a couple of decades back. Also, if certain ties that have a very thick knot, I may occasionally opt for 4IH. Otherwise, I usually opt for half Windsor because I like the symmetrical balance of this preferred knot.Have you ever tried opting for a four in hand?

Hober grenadines do make very thick knots though. Also, there is beauty in the slight asymmetry of the four-in-hand knot.
I find that the four in hands start to twist during the day, which I find annoying, so I only wear them with knit ties or when I am using a pin collar to hold them in place. I do prefer the Pratt Shelby over the half-windsor, though. I find it generally provides a nicer knot and dimple.
