He was doomed to fail the minute he didn't have someone like Teddy Bridgewater to make **** happen. Much like Mack and Vince...Sumlin/Manziel, etc...

We have an easy-to-win conference, we're in a fertile recruiting ground with brand new facilities. At this stage in his career he wants/needs a lower-pressure situation and a non-name-brand school where he can pad his resume again, show that he can coach and in three or four years bolt for a bigger job. Being a coordinator again will probably do him less good long-term than being a HC.
