thanks for the input everybody. i tried a few more things and i think these are winners. A henly didn't look right to me, same with an EG chambray workshirt (workwear didn't match the vibe imo).

White tee was probably the easiest/best, but there is a lot of color in the cardigan so wanted to try to play off that

That cardigan is the best thing I own. Can't wait for the weather to turn colder. Only thing I could ask for is one size larger.

Anyone have experience with the Cascade shell?

I tried the Rainshadow and didn't love the way the attached hood looked on my body--I totally understand the functionality but it just bunched in ways that bothered me around the neck/throat no matter how far I zipped it up or down. Wondering if it's worth trying the Cascade or if it will sit the same when partially unzipped.

The Cascade is my favorite jacket model we’ve ever made. The cowl neck is big enough to drop your face behind in brutal conditions. The various pockets are intuitive and hyper functional. Logged a couple hundred miles trail running in it starting last winter in pretty ****** conditions (from full blown rain storms to snow) while carrying a good amount of stuff in my pockets. It never failed me.

On the hood, I’d suggest playing with the cinches to give it some shape, as I’ve done below.

Are any other Cascade variants planned for the upcoming F/W season? My interest has been piqued...
