Neck tightness is a progressive thing.  Don't end up on relaxers.

+1, muscle relaxers suck. I avoid them like the plague unless I'm in enough pain that I can't function otherwise. Turning into a zombie + serious constipation = bad times all around.

Lately I've been using one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Thera-Cane-JMAS5000-Massager/dp/B000PRMCJU

You'd have to be a little delicate if you're on your actual neck, but it's awesome for knots in the upper traps and around the shoulder blades.

try taking a chelated magnesium supplement like magnesium glycinate, a natural muscle relaxer and will help tremendously with constipation

Thanks, definitely giving that a shot next time. Kinda sucks that primary care physicians see prescription medications as the answer to just about everything when there are other options.

Two weeks' worth. Been doing them 3x week, alternating weighted and unweighted.

was ******* around at my friends gym showing them muscle ups and attempted 40lb weighted pull ups just by holding the dumbbell with the sides of my feet, wasn't as difficult as I thought but super awkward

Haven't participated since I left on vacation in mid-June. Will get back in game Tues. Dreading impending soreness...
