So a quick question for the people who have bought Jamieson of Shetland: are you happy with the Shetland sweaters?

It’s not a super expensive brand, so I know not to expect miracles, but looking for a warm sweater to wear at home and while having snowball fights with my daughter this winter and this seems like a better option than the luxurious Italian wool sweaters that I own. Basically looking for something warm and durable which won’t look bad after a some damage.

Inis is my first choice but haven’t found an appealing style/color combination. Ideally it would be a deep brown mock neck cable or bubble knit, but can’t find that anywhere. So just looking for a deep brown Shetland, and found one from Jamieson. It’s a bit of a mystery to me how this can be so hard to find, given dark brown is a menswear staple, looks great with jeans (always the most important factor in selling to men) and there is so much cool color mixing you can do by adding orange, green yarns etc.

This in a deep brown would be my ideal.
Unfortunately that gray just does not look very good on me, I need darker colors. The latest NMWA lookbook is actually what sold me on the idea of chunky brown knitwear.

I have 2 Jamieson’s sweaters from NMWA. They are great quality, and match with everything. Remember to size up.

I have much more expensive sweaters too, and have not yet experienced any miracles.

If it’s for snowball fights and lounging, just go for a Merz. Everyone needs some quality cotton sweatshirts

Absolutely agreed, Jamieson's look great and are very warm. But I love my Merz sweats for more physical activities, there's more give in the cotton fabric
