I didn’t see size measurements on the product page so asked the thread, but will check back again.UK sweaters are typically sized by the actual garment chest size, i.e. a 42 sweater isn't necessarily meant for someone who wears a 42 jacket, it just means it has ~42 inch total chest measurement (or 21" pit to pit").
I don't have any Jamieson's sweaters (yet) but I wear a 42 jacket and usually take a 44 in UK sized sweaters for a normal slim fit. You could probably go with your actual chest size on a vest if you wanted it pretty fitted
