UK sweaters are typically sized by the actual garment chest size, i.e. a 42 sweater isn't necessarily meant for someone who wears a 42 jacket, it just means it has ~42 inch total chest measurement (or 21" pit to pit").
I don't have any Jamieson's sweaters (yet) but I wear a 42 jacket and usually take a 44 in UK sized sweaters for a normal slim fit. You could probably go with your actual chest size on a vest if you wanted it pretty fitted
Thanks, very helpful. I didn’t see size measurements on the product page so asked the thread, but will check back again.

It may interest people to know that Kuon was on display at an exhibit about boro at the East Asian Museum in Stockholm.

It’s really nice and there’s something to be said about having different weights/warmth cardigans. We’re used to that shape being only for heavier wear but a light cardigan is a great layering piece too.

maybe the Black Friday price will be an incentive to take another look at the Schneider Dolcetto cardigan? I feel like it’s a similar layering use as the 3Sixteen one. Not too heavy and the pattern is quite subtle so I get that it doesn’t jump out on screen but it’s super nice IRL

The weight is perfect for me. I run hot and normally the thought of putting a sweater on practically breaks me out in hives. This one is light enough to wear inside without sweating and is definitely good for layering.

To all the Jamieson's heads here, do you find the shetland wool softens over time or with washing? Has anyone tried any of the various itch-taming tricks advocated on the webs, like soaking in vinegar or conditioner or using a lanolin wash?

Not really. It’s made to be worn with a shirt underneath. It’s a wonderful sweater, and I use it mainly for layering under winter outerwear.
