If the weight of the tree's becomes a concern, I have had great luck with packing my Alden's with the smaller soft goods I am bringing i.e. socks, undershirts, etc. like you would newspaper after it rains. Not only does this help provide support for the shoe, but the "give" of these allows the...

I ordered the Boondockers yesterday, and they arrived today. I can confirm they are 100% on the 2030 last, and as has been discussed at great length on this forum, you would order the same size you wear in Trubalance/Barrie.

It does not mention lasts on the site, so are all Mr. Porter boots 2030?

Does anyone here have any images of snuff suede nice and worn-in? I am so tempted to pick up a snuff boot for winter and let the suede pick up a "patina". I know it unusual for suede, but was curious if anyone has done something similar, or has a "beater" pair of suede they wear, and would not...

I weirdly really like the PT Calf boot now up on Unionmade, especially the commando sole with winter looming. My only concern is how the tan calf would hold up? Obviously its not your typical "beater" leather, but does anyone have any images of aged dark tan? Or care to comment on how resilient...

I wish the alden gods would do another run of these, on the Barrie, with an antique storm welt.

Where are those Snuff PT on Commando from!?

I think they are both good options. The CXL will definitely dress up better, but they both go very well with chinos, jeans, etc... Another option that works well is Brown Alpine Grain.

Hey folks, I need some help. I want to grab a boot for the fall and I have it narrowed down to the Winn Perry CT Tan Vegano Calf or a standard Snuff Chukka. I want to be able to wear it in slightly damp weather like the fall can sometimes be in the Northeast, but I would switch to something...

Does anyone have any more information about the Tan Vegano Calf on the Winn Perry CT boot? Is this different than normal Alden Calf, and if so, what are its characteristics? Thanks!

Congrats to whomever secures that walnut shell service boot. Beautiful shoe.

Look to get the shoe in one width up from the ones you tried. Many Alden retailers will recommend a width up. I had a similar situation to you: An almost slipper like fit at first, but after only ten minutes of wear a noticeable tightness across the vamp and on the inside of the foot. I went up...

I have only had them for a couple months. I have not noticed significant stretching, however they were not tight at all when they were purchased, they fit comfortably from the beginning so there was not any pressure forcing them to stretch... I have heard that the suede will "ease" but I would...

FWIW, the suede unlined dovers required me to go up to an E width even though they are Barrie lasted. I was told at the NYC store that they frequently size people up a width from their normal Barrie because the suede is able to be pulled more tightly across the vamp than calf, shell, or even the...

The suede "Dovers" on the Barrie as well as the unlined CXL Dover on the Barrie all look sleeker that the typical PTB on the Barrie. Not sure if it has to do with the unlined nature, or the Dover style, or both. Interestingly, the suede Dovers required me to size up a width to E, while the...

Question: These first two styles appear to be the similar model as the 29332/6 snuff suede dover, except they are lined. Does anyone know how they fit compared to those models? It says they are lined and last information is missing... Thanks for the help!
