    NFL 2017-18 Thread

That Clay Matthews' penalty was literally a textbook tackle. That's how they teach it. This league is a joke.

    Any One for a Scotch?

Good, focused on fitness these days so I've sized out of most of the fashion game.

What are you drinking right now?

Congrats! That Weller is easily my favorite of the BTAC collection. There's not a whole lot of options out there for barrel proof wheated bourbons and that one is exceptional.

What are you drinking right now?

Yup. It's been a few years since I've last had Pappy due to the craze surrounding it. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try them again for what passes for a reasonable amount these days.

What are you drinking right now?

It's a dive bar around the corner from a friend's place in Salt Lake City. It's funny, it's hard finding Pappy or the BTAC collection anywhere else at all and even when you do find it you have to be willing to part with your firstborn to get a glass, but probably due to all the Mormons and lack...

    Any One for a Scotch?

For a less common Islay, try anything from Kilchoman. It's a small independent distillery that uses traditional methods and grows their own barely. Not as smokey as Laphroaig or Ardberg, but it has a very robust, complex flavor profile.

What are you drinking right now?

The 15 has always been my favorite and it was once again on this batch. The 20 is a very close second though. The 10 and 12 years ones are fine bourbons, but they're not even remotely worth the hype; I prefer high-rye bourbons though, so YMMV.

That seems extreme to me. Are you just done with playing guitar?

    The Apple Discussion Thread

The main draw the 8+ and the X have over the 8 to me is not the screen size, it's the dual cameras. I don't own a camera anymore but I enjoy taking high quality photos, especially during my travels. If the X had Touch ID, I'd be all in.

    The Apple Discussion Thread

Yup. Considering texting is my prime method of communicating with everyone but my parents, switching to an inferior system is not the least bit appealing to me.

    The Apple Discussion Thread

I was all set to upgrade from my 6 but now I'm not so sure. The 8 is clearly an obsolete form factor and will be dead in all but the budget models next year. So for me it's either X or I stick with the 6 for awhile longer. If it weren't for iMessage I'd consider jumping ship to the Galaxy S8...

I've never seen a chunky neck on an offset. They look like they're the same shape, but do strat necks fit into jazzmaster bodies?

http://shop.fender.com/en-US/electric-guitars/jazzmaster/60s-jazzmaster-lacquer/0141210757.html#start=1 The 60s Jazzmaster Lacquer has that vintage 7.25" radius. There's also a roadworn version that has the same neck, 60s Lacquer Jaguar, the QOTSA (Troy something or another) guitarist's...

According to this: http://www.tdpri.com/threads/jeff-shunk-baxters-gear.178347/ "I remember in an interview him talking about his telecasters "Skunk-o-sonic" pickups he hand wound and configured for his great sound." So sounds like personal customized ones. Oh, and someone talk me out of...

Getting rid of the nubs would be the best part of a refret in my opinion. I just saw Guns N Roses perform tonight. They put on an amazing show. They played 3.5 hours long also. Time to tune my LP down to Eb and learn some GnR songs.

Yup. Here's an album of the fake: http://imgur.com/a/zG9Nl The first two images are what I saw. The thought of a fake PRS never even occurred to me last night, but upon waking I realized that headstock decal looked off. It sort of looked like the Modern Eagle decal yet it was advertised as a...

Official Guitar, Amp, Pedals, and Gear Thread

After a day of drinking, I saw a PRS Custom 22 on craigslist for an insanely low price ($1000) and emailed the guy saying I'll take it. Upon further sober consideration today and consulting with others, my skepticism about the deal grew. I asked for a few more photos to confirm and yeah, clearly...
