The Official Thrift / Discount Store Bragging Thread Part III (Sept 2018-)

@leisurewear that union tag was used from 1962 to 1976. 70s is a good guess.

@Bon Vivant Life considering the collar tag says made in USA and the maker tag says made in Japan, I think it’s safe to say it’s fake.

Technically from a few months ago now but felt too important not to share. In hindsight, I should have asked our photographer to shoot a proper head-to-toe fit pic for StyFo purposes. You’ll have to merge these together in your head to get the full effect… S/S 23 Bedford Jacket & Fatigue Pants...

My first major piece was a FW12 field parka from @Drinkwaters I purchased in fall of 2013. I may have purchased a bucket hat secondhand before that. I lived in Boston for 10 years and could count on one hand the amount of times I saw people wearing EG “in the wild” (aka not at an SF meet-up or...

@flipstah repro brand similar to Stan Ray. Still desirable but not as much as the original.

@rotide around 2019 is when sizing jumped up considerably. If you like things looking more fitted. Sizing down is the move. There are old season pieces I have in XL that barely fit and I have outerwear from ‘21 in a M with room to layer underneath. A question for the thread: I picked up this...

    18 East Buy-Sell-Trade Thread

Just listed this one elsewhere for more but willing to cut a deal with someone here. 18 East x 3sixteen Kantha Liner Size L - small hole next to left side pocket. Some pilling on the piping along the bottom. Looking for $200 shipped to US. DM me for quote for international. On the very rare...

@Samir I have received several packages from Japan in the past few months so I don’t think they are being honest with you. A lot of the US eBay sellers located in Japan are reposting listings from Japanese resale sites - typically at a markup. I would suspect that these pants probably sold on...

@Lendo Cardigan jackets run really big like everything else as of late. I can comfortably fit a size M with room to layer and I’ve worn L and even XL in previous EG seasons. Double check sleeve lengths but you’re probably good to size down.

Dang that’s tragic! The fit was perfect. If anyone has an XL in olive that isn’t getting much wear drop me a DM.
