Detachable Collars in NYC
I think that there are probably about half a dozen laundries in the UK which can properly launder a detachable collar, with Barker's, followed by Blossom & Browne, being the best known. what are the rules on mismatching vests
Personally, I would eschew striped suits for evening wear entirely, if avoidable. I would also recommend that any waistcoat be of a dark shade since, as described above, the classic light coloured odd waistcoats are daywear items. If there is any chance that you will be drawn to the court's attention I would certainly recommend a suit, the simpler and plainer the better (a dark pinstripe perhaps, 2 or 3 button, notched lapel) worn with a white shirt (double cuffs or not according to your preference, but simple cufflinks...- Anthony Jordan
