I don't really buy into the notion that any negative comments towards the pictures stems from people feeling 'left out' for not making a frat...

..that's just as disingenous as people hating people in the pictures just because they dress like that.

It's the connotations and profiling that causes strife.

As for the scene, let me say there appear to be three of originality and spark.

First is the baby in the stroller.

Second is the horse in the distance to the right of the nondescript female in hat.

Third is the chap in the seersucker suit with bow tie and artfully draped expanding yellow fruit holder, or whatever it is called, on his head.

Otherwise, a bit too cheesy in the grin, frat boyish in attire, and ladies wide hats to which they seem greatly unaccustomed.

The fit is usually off, lacking in color coordination, sub par quality, and trying way too hard to relive the glory of cheap beer from a wasted youth that seems unduly prolonged by the event just witnessed. In short, aspiring third tier bureaucrats who will do well not to go down a notch.

Oh yes, and tell the Yalies that the attire for the boathouse is not fitting for the racetrack, where a belt buckle, though gaudy, is comparatively more at home than boat club jackets.

Thanks for the photos! These people look as though they are having fun. Nice shots of some attractive fillies too.

Their style of dress is a welcome change from the usual urban denim crap and square-toed atrocities.

I'm a UVA kid too. Most kids in my school are smart enough to wear shirts with buttoned-down collars with madras or seersuckers jackets.

Overall: trashy.

not exactly. you need more detail.

wrt to the political party people in DC, the democratic men are usually fun to be around. good drinking crew and all. same for republican women, especially the ones who are republicans because their families are republican - in other words - the party is something they grew up with. democratic women - especially extremely liberal women - can be a pain if they go off on a kick.

republican men are just douchebags. especially the tax cut/cato crowd and social issues dorks. no fun, anytime.
