Thomas Pink went out of business earlier this year Thomas Pink, the Legendary London Shirtmaker, Has Closed
but before they did I was able to secure a HUGE amount of shirts if anyone is interested through a non-profit partner.
100's and 100's of shirts basic styles.

Colors: White, Blue, Pink
All Sizes, Regular and Long lengths.
Classic & Tailored Fit
Classic & French Cuffs

Before we go spam 100 B&S listings just trying to get an idea if anyone is even interested in these being posted on SF?? Do people still use B&S to buy items here?

I’m not surprised. There’s not much of a market for Vietnamese made shirts at $160-200 a pop.

They were a decent buy at $39 though during the fire sale. Quality is good, but not near their list price. My true steal at the fire sale was a made in the UK cashmere sweater for 90 and two made in Italy grenadine ties for $24 a piece.

I’ve only ever owned one; made in Ireland. It was an ok shirt and then I started to see them everywhere. It was decent quality. Of course, I bought it at a time when I wasn’t as aware as my other options.

Twenty years ago I bought them in London.
To me at the time their best product was their polo shirts.
Compared to La Coste, they were a bargain and they fit
me perfectly, Better than La Coste.Stopped making them
around 2000. Came out with a pricey new version with giant logo
a few years later. Not for me.

Never bought or wore a Thomas Pink shirt but thought their retail outlets looked classy.

Very DWW to wag his finger like a 6th grade hall monitor. If anything, I’m surprised he didn’t cite footnotes or name drop some other obscure blogger.

[Scene: A quiet library with students taking the SAT exam]

Exam: 3x + 45 = 162. Please solve for X.

Some Igent:

"I remember when a coat and tie used to solve problems. Of course, no one wears a coat and tie anymore. I used to buy my coats and ties at Brooks Brothers. Quality there isn't what it used to be. Now it's all made in China. I had Chinese food once while visiting New York City in the fall of 1983. It was spicy. This was before there was anything like Spice Gir--"

Anyway, to the OP, I don't think there was ever a big market here for Thomas Pink shirts. Plus, there are so many more affordable options now for shirts, including Spier & Mackay, the market here isn't like what it was ten years ago, when you could offload heavily discounted, mid-tier luxury names.

I haven't used B&S in a very long time, but my impression is that the B&S section now is also much slower. I think Grailed and eBay have become more popular for people shopping for such things.

I think you might have might better luck offloading those at your eBay store.

" I don't think there was ever a big market here for Thomas Pink shirts"

Hmmm. The Post Street store in San Francisco paid rent for many years.

The OP asked if he should list these Thomas Pink shirts on StyleForum. By "here," I mean that I don't think many StyleForum posters bought Thomas Pink once they arrived here. Rightly or wrongly, they perceived other things to be better.
