Lighting sucks but you get the idea. This seasons Jungle Jacket. For sizing reference, this is the 38. I am 5'7" and athletic, usually take a 40S, but this would have swallowed me whole in a 40, IMO. This is how it'll get worn most of the time, over a t-shirt. Maybe an OCBD.

You might also consider their MTO overshirts if you live near one of the stores. I basically live in the linen versions in the summer (worn over a polo, merino tee or OCBD).
Finally tried out and placed an order for a linen overshirt. TTS was pretty slim so I went up a size and requested to have the sleeves shortened.

I also saw one of the newer canvas chore jackets. Canvas used on these felt softer than the one that I have from a couple of years ago. I think someone here was wishing that the canvas chore would be less stiff. Maybe you can try these new ones?

UK, US or somewhere else? Outside of MTM, I wasn’t aware they would shorten sleeves on shirts.

US. It was the SF pop-up event. The gentleman from the NYC store was here for MTO orders.

They had a very small selection from the current collection as well.

Question: I’m looking for a cheaper alternative to Drake’s merino wool v neck navy jumper. Anyone know a good alternative, preferably below 200 euro? (Instead of 395 at Drake’s…)

FYI there's a Drake's look-alike thread that may help

The Quarter Zip Sweatshirt I was looking at had its priced hiked from $290 to $345 sometime over the last week. So despite the numerous the-prices-are-too-high complaints that are common around here, Drake's seems to think they're not high enough.

Ugh. My fault for sitting on it.

PSA: Saks has several items on sale:

Any indication that the cotton blouson jacket will be coming in a different color? Really like the jacket but not sure if I'm really into the color. Maybe if I saw it in person I'd change my mind though.

@tipitai ordered by email, the shop was able to locate one in their London store I recall. It was off the rack and sold out online at the time. Drakes came through with the find. Cheers

Speaking of Drake's in Canada...

I recently made my first purchase through their website and was surprised to find that they cannot refund taxes paid on returned items. Rather, they expect the buyer to claim a tax refund through the government (which can take months)

Quite a disappointing experience at this price point. No mention of this on the website so Canadian buyers beware.
To update the thread...

The Drake's team relented and provided a one-time full refund including the taxes after some polite pushing on the subject. Their communication throughout the process was superb.

I can't say they understood the inconvenience or indicated any improvements in the process to follow. I would be careful about purchasing to Canada if there's a chance you might have a return.
