Yes I love oxfords where I can just throw into the washer, hang dry till...dry basically, then tumble on low heat in the dryer for < 25min to get back that softness.

That's what oxfords should be like, simple yet robust.

You can release the darts and be fine with it. If I was you I would buy and stick with the AD.
Bigger armhole and more room then your waist. That's what I wear.
