My alterations at Peppino mentioned earlier were 8 handsewn sleeve button holes, and hemming the trousers and jacket sleeves. I believe the waist was alright, but there might have been a small alteration there too. No other coat alterations.Could people chime in with rough cost for typical suit alterations at Wilfred's, Alexis, and Peppino's?
For example:
8 buttons (handsewn or machinesewn)
Taking a little in the waist of the coat
Hemming pants and taking an inch or so out of the waist of the pant.
Yep, $66. And you can walk right in, although they close for lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 (and often until 2).Peppino's did 8 handsewn, working buttonholes, sleeves, and hem for you for $66.? Â That's incredible. Â That alteration will run double that at even non-NYC tailors.
