Different tanning process, much different depth of color, and if I'm not mistaken the leathers are different as well. Horween is calf and there's been quite a bit of talk about what J&FJ is. The only thing I can confirm for sure is that J&FJ Russian Calf is almost or as durable as shell cordovan. Also, the smell. Horween hatch grain smells like leather. J&FJ smells special (I personally think it smells like bacon). What are the differences between hatch grain from Horween and J&FJ Russian calf?
Thanks
