I know having the waist taken in on standard trousers is fairly simple alteration, but would spier's high-rise trousers with side tabs make it trickier? And what is the recommended maximum amount a waist can be taken in?

I just ordered a suit and on the site it says: "Note: The trouser waist can be adjusted +/- up to 1.5 inches by your local tailor."

Side tabs shouldn’t be an issue. If you’re taking it in more than 1.5-2” they will maybe need to be moved forward, but you shouldn’t be taking them in more than 1.5” or so anyway

Have we received any confirmation, via user experience, that SM's High-Rise trousers have significantly changed? Anyone who could not fit the previous iteration that is able to wear them now?

A few suits are intriguing, but I've always had issues with the (lack of) rise and seat on their Not-Really-High-Rise High Rise trousers.

I don’t expect a miracle (would be nice!), but I’m likely to be able to report on this soonish.

there's a seersucker suit up right now in solid navy by zignone

my ss20 (i think) mockleno fits the same as my other neo stuff, subject to the changes in the neo cut over time

ah. i think they do typically produce at least one of those. if memory serves last year there were two like that (one may have been an SC). so odds are probably good.

I'm thinking about getting a linen suit and I'm curious about the fit. I have narrow shoulders, a 38 chest with a 30 waist. and I tend to look better in a structured suit with a bit of shoulder expression. It looks like their jackets don't have much structure, which makes sense especially for linen.

Any guys with narrow shoulders who have purchased a linen suit or jacket have an opinion on the fit?

Depends on the fabric a lot of them are seasonal and don’t get restocked
