So I’m a longtime customer of S&M with 6 OTR suits from them. Today I received a suit from their most recent collection, and the pants are WAY wider than usual. My wife walked in the room and burst out laughing, which is never a good sign lol. Not sure what’s going on here, but I may be off the train this year.
Are the pant high-rise? we know high-rise trousers fit has been updated to allow more room around the top block. if the trousers are not high-rise that is very interesting to hear as I'm not a ware of a similar update to their regular fit.

They are indeed high rise.

Here's a pic of the cotton high rise. Roominess up top is an improvement but I don't like how they flare out the sides at the hem. Certainly doesn't look too tapered at the bottom as others feel. The loose fabric flaring out laterally at the ankle is something I see in their product photos, too, not just on me.

Contrast with a pair of other trousers that have similar dimensions, including leg opening, but the pattern just seems to lend to a cleaner gradual taper.

Looks like they could use a little length, which could be why it’s kicking out at the bottom.

It could also be that the crease is just a little out of line.

I agree. my new pair of high rise high twist also had a little flare out, which is not something I experienced before, but also the crease was coming down and out, maybe the change the cut? or i received one with a QC problem.

Were both slim and contemporary fits updated or only contemporary?

Just picked up one of the Red Label suits. Overall liking it, but noticed some bumpiness around the lapel folds. Any ideas on how to get rid of them or is this a fit issue?

How have you found the new cotton-linen blend or silk-cotton blend polos?
Historically, I've found the cotton quality on SM polos to be quite poor and stiff, and I'm wondering if things have changed with the new releases?

Anyone have any input on what size I should try to re-order from S&M? I did a bunch of digging and I ended up ordering a 40S contemporary fit suit. For ref, I'm about 5'5", 140lbs, ~39-39.5" chest, ~29in waist.

The 40S contemporary came today and I feel it's way too boxy around the waist/body, but the shoulder seems more or less perfect in width. I think I should go for a slim fit since my waist is a bit smaller, but am debating between 38S and 40S. I think slimming down the waist would be good for my shorter stature.

Here are some photos, any input would be appreciated..

Not sure I agree with you that this is a good fit in the shoulder. You've got gobs of extra material in the back (boxed in yellow). Based on how the fabric is lying, I've tried to extrapolate where your body is underneath (in red). I think you need a 38. Slim or contemporary could come down to a preference on your part. The other advantage of a 38 (with your 29-inch waist) is that it will come with a 32 trouser.

I received my first MTO shirt today, much sooner than expected (the estimated delivery time when I ordered was June 5-12) and I'm very happy with the results.

Their 15 slim fits me pretty well, but I always have trouble buying shirts off-the-rack because I have really long arms (6'2" tall, 6'9" arm span). I've bought custom shirts through Spier in the past, but I need a new batch with updated sizing, and I'm pretty happy with the results of the MTO. Will see how it looks/how much it shrinks after washing.

My only quibble - I ordered the "tucked in" length, and it is extremely long. Shouldn't be a big problem when it's tucked in, but still, it's pretty ridiculous.

I’d much rather have it too long than too short. I bought a 15 34 slim dress shirt from them last season and it is much shorter than any of the other shirts I have from them, oddly enough. Good to hear promising results from the program!
