Good job on those Keith Highlanders. I hadn't noticed this was an old thread so I started searching ebay for a pair in my size... Oh well, at least now I'm reminded that I have a pair of tan JC Penney Stafford longwings that would benefit from a similar stripping!

Interesting... even 4 years later. I stumbled on this today after some Web research surfing. I picked up a pair of these at my local "vintage" store and the only issue I have with them is the shininess. But this seems like a helluva lot of work! I intend to see if just wear and tear will break them to a more a natural look. If not, well, these things were only 30 bucks. Great solid wingtips for the price. Vintage or not? I don't know. From what I've heard, I believe that the particular heel well logo in mine makes them a Keith Highlander-made shoe, and from my initial few hours wearing them around the house, I beleive they are a very comfortable, solid, and handsome shoe.
