PS also had i think a blue nylon one, that IMO was much nicer than the orange (short collar, not folded) but its no longer instock

"quality" is an overabused notion , especially for a casual piece like this.

While I agree it is not nearly as tangible or important as it is in tailored goods, I have a couple Barbour coats that have had the crap kicked out of them and still look great. Inversely, I've also bought cheap jackets that end up failing me before the season is even over.

The Barbour Chelsea Polarquilt is a slim-fit that looks great.

I just picked up a Moleskin Liddesdale from Orvis a while back. I think the 'matte' look of this fabric makes it look a little richer than the standard Liddesdale. Maybe I'm just rationalizing the purchase though...

My only beefs are that the 'leather' trim on the pockets looks a little cheap. That and there's some padding in the collar that makes it look a bit lumpy unless you turn it up.

while we're on coats i found this really nice aethestics from Brooks... too bad the jacket is nylon

I find the Chelsea to be a bit thin for fall. Matt Fulham is pretty much the same jacket, only a bit warmer.

Last year I picked up a Lavenham Dentson and I really like it a lot. I don't find it to be too boxy.
