No reason why I couldn't do all four of those bars, right?

I've read over reviews of Hill Country on eGullet and the general impression is not so good. And for a person that has been to all of the top ten Central Texas-style joints, it would just be depressing.

I will be bringing a number of unreleased pocket squares and cuff links. As a rough estimate, there will be 4 new pocket square designs and 6 new cuff links that have not been released on the website yet. This will be your first chance to gaze upon -- and potentially purchase -- them.

As of now, I will most likely be free Monday (1 Oct) happy hour to evening and Tuesday (2 Oct) lunch. I hope to have some more openings before then and will notify you here.

I digress, but I've been to Kreutz, Smitty's, Blacks and City Market. I guess I have Meuller's on my list...What are the other 5? I'll probably be back there over the next year or so...

Anyone know the exact location of Milk & Honey? If so, would you be willing to PM it to me? I'd love to take a date there...

Cooper's in Mason and Llano. Hard to say who else really fills out the top ten; it's a little contentious between #8-15. Sam's in Austin is pretty good, probably #9 or 10.

A happy evening. PDT is a semihidden bar alongside a hot dog restaurant on St. Marks. You enter through the restaurant, whose phone booth has a false wall, speakeasy-style. Kent brought with him a choice selection of squares and links, as well as sample dress shirts. The squares and links we know well. The shirts are well made; a well fitting shirt in these fabrics at his desired price point would be an attractive option. I wore a SB peaked lapel black flannel coat and a white spread collar shirt. For my naked breast pocket, I purchased Kent's white silk square with the tone on tone paisley design. Chorse departed for dinner, but after the bar Kent & I went off to the opening night party for THE BEEBO BRINKER CHRONICLES, a stage version of the popular 1950s lesbian pulp novels: http://www.hourglassgroup.org/beebo.html I wrote about it this month in American Theatre magazine. At the party we saw many attractive women, nearly all of them strangely unavailable to us. Go figure!
