It's the same thing. Just do it. Not like the shorts cost less than the jeans at retail.
Agreed, I'm gonna cop a pair in my size off Grailed for half retail and cut them up. I need some badly and it's the best way to make sure they're a good wash and the right length.

Edit: to anyone who has made their own jorts before, what do you do about the inseam/outseam hems to keep them from splitting and coming undone? Do you put some reinforcement stitching?

Has it been said what retail price is? I'd love to own one of those just for the novelty factor
it was 998€ in EU, so probably something similar or a little less in the US.
