Why have you lumped Corneliani in with Polo? Corneliani is a much better suit with a decent amount of handwork, assuming you're talking about the main line. Also, Polo's stuff uses fusing, which Corneliani doesn't.

Edit: To clarify, I mean the mainline Corneliani stuff isn't fused.

Absolutely right. Oxxford is great if you like looking like my late grandfather, not if you're under the age of 50. Quality certainly plays a role, I would never argue otherwise, but if it isn't in a cut I like then it's useless to me.

Yeah, it depends on your build, too. Even as a 42, I am saddled with boxy shoulders and chest...and as a 52 was something of a cube.

Many of the RTW brands listed don't fit me particularly well, whereas Oxxford does. If getting something made for me, I generally go for something much more fitted and smaller and higher through the armholes (and sometimes I luck into an off-the-rack suit that fits me like that...but it's pretty unusual). So, even for us non-grandfathers, I think Oxxford has a market.

The Polo BLue Label (cheaper one) is half canvas but made by Corneliani. I have one, I like it. But I agree, except for Corneliani's Trend line (I think). Or is Trend still full floating canvas?

Trend uses fusing, as does CC. Only Corneliani's mainline stuff is fully canvassed.
