Update on the stretch denim. I exchanged the slim fit for the contemporary but it looks like the hem opening is only 13" - over an inch smaller than what was advertised on the size chart. This makes them skinnier than my levis 502 which I am looking to upgrade from. I really like the material...- taargus_taargus

Well, I suppose that means I'll have to try out the non-stretch. My only problem with the non-stretch is that regular denim can get quite uncomfortable due to the coarseness. But, we'll have to see. Can anyone weigh in on the stretch denim, perhaps? I ordered a slim size 28 rinse wash. The size chart says that the hem opening is 14+" but the openings are actually 12". There's no doubt that it's a well constructed garment. As far as functionality is concerned, it's probably the best piece of outerwear I've ever owned. 5'7" 120lbs, size 34 Slim for reference. Not a problem. The second to last pic shows how breathable it is. I personally love high twist so that's great for me, and I also tend to run hot in sport coats. Mostly unlined and mostly unstructured. Hope this helps, and excuse the dirty mirror.- taargus_taargus
