I own a S&S x Simmons Bilt Browntop in a 40 (https://standardandstrange.com/prod...wntop-jacket?_pos=3&_psq=Simmons&_ss=e&_v=1.0) and looking for something similar but not too similar in black. I don’t mind this but not sure if cafe racer style is right. https://www.selfedge.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1514

The fine creek options are nice but maybe more than I’d like to spend

Not sure if you are are asking for thoughts about the Iron Heart but I have it and its a fantastic jacket, I dont wear it as often but its an item I wouldn't sell.

I "risked" it and went for a FCL Jack from Self Edge. Hope it fits! Per measurements, it should be trimmer than what I have now and should work out just great..If not, then there's a few alternatives I can exchange for..

Nope.. all off the rack
Okay, I'll bite. From where? It looks like a lot of your height is in your legs, but still, 6'8" is 6'8".

Incidentally, one of my training partners is 6'5" and 280 lbs. I am 5'11" and 180 lbs. It's just not a fair fight even though I'm more technically proficient and faster. May I borrow 3" and 50 lbs to close the gap a bit?

So I am 6"8, around 225lbs with a 7-foot wingspan..I am a former college basketball player so back then this height and wingspan helped.. now in my mid-40s, not so much lol..the first leather jacket is from a company called Straight to Hell.. they make a decent leather jacket with full grain buffalo leather. The accessories are decent, and the finish in terms of stitching and seams is not bad.. more importantly, they had a tall size that benefitted me greatly..the second is a custom RRL that was custom for an NBA player who passed on it.. picked up on a really good deal in NY 8 years ago..the third is a Schott that I have had for 18 years and saw me through many winter storms back in my old hood in Bmore and the last is a suede piece from The Kooples (I had it tailored at the sides a smidge)..

The Schott surprises me. I wear a medium in Schott, and the sleeves fit between just right and just a tiny bit short on me (in a roughout and a Horween horsehide jacket of the same double rider model, respectively. And I just have a 73" wingspan.
