Advice on Shirt Colors (and maybe suit)

I am taking a trip very soon where I have an opportunity to pick up a few bespoke items for a very reasonable price. Mainly I am going to be having a suit made; I don't wear suits incredibly often but there is a chance I will be attending a few meetings for work, some conferences, and of course weddings. I'd also like something to have for nights out.

The suit will be charcoal as that is the most versatile from what I remember, I am also going to be getting a second pair of trousers made, with provisions for braces, as well as a waistcoat.

While there, I will be picking up a number of shirts and ties. Obviously I am going to make sure to have some of the shirts be white but I don't know which other colors to choose, I am open to suggestions for shirt and tie colors from the community. To preface this, the "dress" shoes I own are a pair of Alden 974 (Color 8 Wingtip Balmoral) and a pair of black calf Allen Edmonds Fifth Avenues. My preference is for the Aldens.

With that out of the way, here are my questions:

  1. What are the must have tie colors I should pick up to go with a charcoal suit, white shirts, and either of the shoes listed (again, leaning towards the Color 8 Aldens)?
  2. What other colors of shirts should I have made, and what tie colors should I be looking at for them?
  3. I've never worn braces. Should they match the tie, shoes, or be black?
Any other suggestions or comments are always welcome and thank you in advance!

white/sky blue stripes, and sky blue for shirts.

burgundy/navy are probably a good starting point for ties, perhaps forest green.

This stuff should be wearable in all permutations with those shoes + charcoal suit.

Now, if you wear sport coats more regularly, and you were thinking about ordering 5 or more shirts, I would do 2 white shirts, 1 striped shirt, and 2+ blue (i.e, 3 if you were ordering 6 shirts). The sky blue solids are likely to have the most flexibility for wearing with sport coats/under knits/etc

Braces = do whatever you want.
