those are nice. Looks like there's a compartment for credit card also. Sweet.

Hello,

thanks for the information. I like it!

My clamp is several years old and I though of design one. But this will work, too.

We got my wife's brother one for Christmas to replace the binder / butterfly clip he was so fond of - you know, the kind that's in your office drawer right now? Trying to convince him that it's the same idea, but a grown- up version of what he uses.

I heard an interview on NPR with the guy who designed the thing. I think it's a pretty sweet design. It will hold even a single bill or card firmly, and it LOOKED to be made fairly well. How well it will hold up, I don't know. I'd have to believe they cycled it a fair number of times in the testing process to make sure it wasn't going to fall apart right out of the box, but who knows. I'm actually fairly surprised I haven't seen these in some big name retailers yet. The guy needs to hire a marketing person.

I like the idea, but I'm concerned about the amount of clutter in my front pocket as is. Adding a credit card might only at to it.

I prefer cash/card clips of this ilk, the other looks too gadgety without superior function.

interesting thoughts... i like the mechanism (have used office binders)

however, i might feel strange pulling the "cash clamp" out at a nice occasion

they do have a "dress" model:

any SFrs w/experience w/these models?:

khaki sack, funny comment about the paperclip.

rogerm, that Dunhill looks like a nice clip. Wonder how big it is since they don't provide sizing or a bill in it for scale.

To the OP, I was actually intrigued enough by the design to order one. Neat, sturdy and it holds plenty of bills and cards even with the clip alone. My only complaint is replacing the clip around your cards/cash can sometimes be a bit less than smooth at first (or if you're hurried) since your cash and cards will be in the other hand and you have to squeeze the clip open to secure it. Otherwise, it's the slimmest money/card holder I've found for front pocket carry.

I have a money clip, but I never use it -- has a hideous Minnesota Vikings helmet on it ...

thanks, I tried looking for it yesterday at Saks/Neimans but nobody had it.

I also use a John Hardy money clip, and I have to say it looks cooler than anything out there.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
