I was measured for my first bespoke suit at WW Chang in Shanghai this past Saturday. I am new to world of custom suits. I picked a Zegna Navy Blue with White Pinstripe fabric for a single breast two buttom double side vent cut. I have a fitting this coming Saturday. Can you provide me with questions, options, things to look for in a bespoke suit. I am truly a rookie and could use some help learning. Thanks.

I hope you went to WW Chan, which is a reputable outfit, and not WW Chang, whom I have never heard of and, if real, I would be highly suspicious of.

You really need to do a lot of lurking around this site though to learn what you need. Your best bet is to cull through the thousands of fit pics in WAYWRN and also search for WW Chan on this site and look over the pics, pick out what you like and what you don't, and try to ask for that.

Honestly, getting a few answers on here from people of varying qualification levels, then trying to take that information and run it through Chan, is going to be a recipe for disaster. They know what they're doing at Chan, and you'd be better off just following their lead rather than trying to give them uneducated, disjointed feedback you learned from strangers on the internet.

Thanks for your feedback. I will follow their lead. Yes, I went to WW Chan and had a typo.

What is your opinion on the alignment of fabric panels such as strips? Should the strips on the tops of the shoulders align. I have read in a few articles that they should however when I asked Tony at WW Chan he told me no.

What there's a WW Chang? Seriously, the matching stripes should be part of their ad chart: "10 things we always do".

Tony is right. This article from Mahon probably explains this more clearly than I would be able to:
