Thank you, so do you also thinking it is 4497 - 5 Acorn?
Only the /24 seems different, but they're in such a different size as mine that I find it hard to gauge. My assumption would be that 98% of the Stow's are on 4497s and I don't see any other modifications such as speedhooks or different color pulltabs. It certainly is Acorn and a 5-fitting.

Also, I suspect there may be some variation in Tricker's sizing. I've had same sizes of similar lasts, where one was tight and others slightly loose. Not enough to warrant a different size, but enough that one may require a dress sock and others a woolen sock.

Congrats on the shoes. And the inside of your boot seems to have moulded to your heel area nicely.

I hesitate answering your question about
"if it's worth it to invest €400 on a similar type shoe?". Because my opinion should not matter. But what/how you feel about it means everything.

Real interesting regarding laces - because my Richard came with totally different colour laces.
I gave them a good run over with a suede brush and they already brightened up a bit (was hoping for a more beige color to differentiate from the brown and tan shoes). Also, they have a nice nap underneath the wax, and they are execptionally made, so just decided I'll keep them.

The waxy suede is such a nice material. Thick and sturdy, hides the creases, some nap, some waterproofing and minimal maintenance. I'm happy to have 2 shoes in this leather :).

Was thinking about letting my Acorn Stow's go as I own another pair and wear shoes far more often than boots, but starting to get cold feet. It's not I can't afford it, but prefer to keep my small apartment somewhat 'lean' and not end up with a collection of 20+ shoes and boots. I think I'm done for now 😄

I'm so happy. I found a pair of Tricker's Marlow in a thrift store. Polished them and my cobbler replaced the heel.

Problem is, I can't find any info about the model.
Does anyone know this model or can help me out other wise? Customer service was only able to tell that it's built on last 4537 and might be pre 2009.
